Technical Assistance

I also provide a full range of technical assistance.  I work with community groups, campuses, businesses, and organizations on a wide range of issues.  Mostly, I work with groups to assist them in following through with the training topics I offer.  For example, I’ll work with a group who invites me to come in to do a training, to continue the efforts that are generated by the training — a campus invites me to train their RA’s on responding to rape and dating abuse, and I continue to work with the campus on developing a men’s group.

In addition to these services, I also help with grant writing, program management, and organizational development.

Some recent examples of groups I’ve worked with and what I’ve done for them include:

· Sasha Bruce Youthworks (in Washington, DC) to create a Family Preservation program;

· Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault to create a campus network of efforts to combat sexual assault and dating abuse;

· Catholic University of America to do an assessment of their organizational response to rape and dating abuse;

· Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland to write a report on the response of Baltimore City to Child Sexual Abuse;

· Indiana Coalitions Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence to create state-wide “men’s working group” to explore how local programs can work to engage men.
