I am on faculty at both the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville, and the Spalding University School of Social Work. In addition, I serve on the boards of directors of the National Center on Sexual and Domestic Violence, and the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence. I am also actively involved in the Fairness Campaign (in Louisville), the local chapter of Fellowship of Reconciliation and am the Chair of the pornography task force for the Jefferson County Chapter of NOW. I currently provide consulting services to a variety of local and regional organizations including the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Center for Women and Families, and Planned Parenthood.I was the first Campus Coordinator for the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault, helped found the Sexual Abuse Treatment Center for Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland, assisted in creating a family preservation program for Sasha Bruce Youth Services in Washington, DC. I wrote a report for Baltimore city on the city’s response to child sexual abuse that included several recommendations to how they could improve the coordination of services to make children safer. I also did an analysis of the Catholic University of America’s response to rape and dating abuse.Over the years I have helped to found a number of grassroots organization for justice including:· DC Men Against Rape (now Men Can Stop Rape, Inc.)· DC White Folks Against Racism· Baltimore Alliance Against Child Sexual Abuse· People’s Coalition for Justice (in response to the Rodney King beating)· Indiana Men’s Working Group· Washington Area Clinic Defense Task Force (to protect Abortion clinics from attack)· Men for Gender Justice· Mobilizing to End violeNce (M.E.N.)· Feminists Against Pornography and Prostitution· Youth Dating Abuse Task Force
